Gordon T. Boyd, President Gordon spent eighteen years with Weyerhaeuser and was involved
with all aspects of their wood products business. As Vice President,
he handled mergers and acquisitions. In 1987 he left Weyerhaeuser
and led a group purchasing a Chicago based medical
electronics manufacturing and distribution company, Marshall Electronics.
Over the next eight years the company grew from fifteen million to 100

Lyle J. Barker, Acquisition Manager Lyle has over 35 years experience in land and timber acquisitions, dispositions, and trades. As the senior land and timber appraiser for Weyerhaeuser Company, he cruised and appraised timber sales, land and timber purchases, right-of-ways, trespasses, and land exchanges. The acquisition program included the purchase of over 2000 acres of 20 to 100 acre parcels, to the acquisition of over 280,000 acres from Georgia Pacific outside of Springfield, Oregon. His experience also includes the buying and selling of logs and timber. He has marketed logs from Washington to California and understands the values and costs associated with harvesting timber products in the Pacific Northwest. He offers valuable insight when looking at potential acquisitions - from maximizing the value of the forest products to recognizing the full real estate development potential of a parcel. Brian Birdsall, Agent Brian brings to Global Ventures, Inc. over 25 years of business, operational, marketing and financial background including 12 years of CEO experience in turnaround and crisis company situations. He has also acted as a court-appointed receiver. Brian is a financial strategist who brings an understanding of corporate finance, accounting and taxation, joint ventures, mergers, strategic planning, risk management and major fixed asset acquisition to the executive decision–making mix. He has a record of successful business negotiations with both domestic and international organizations and the ability to establish alliances with diverse parties. Brian has been instrumental in negotiating major restructuring of loans payable to banks, trade creditors and others. She is recognized within her field for her strong client relationships and her impeccable standard of integrity. She is known for her ability to maintain focus and direction amid diverse, demanding, and often conflicting parameters. Julie has made a career of successful closings due to her technical knowledge and her belief that the art of cooperation is the ultimate prize. Prior to escrow, she spent six years in the banking industry. During that time she became familiar with a variety of banking and lending practices specific to Washington, Colorado and South Texas.
